Industrial Gas Projects
One common project type is the reduction and/or capture and destruction of greenhouse gases such as HFC-23, PFC, and N20 released by industrial processes. Industrial gases tend to have high global warming potential. Therefore, their destruction is equivalent to the destruction of far greater quantities of carbon dioxide, making industrial gas projects a very worthwhile project type, although they may not be as "charismatic" as forestry or biodiversity-related projects. It is worth noting the perverse incentives sometimes associated with HFCs.
